A drive, a lake, an obsession

SALARES ALBUM — LOTS OF WINDOWS AND DOORWAYS!

Wanting to go a little further afield, we drove the twisty road past Sedellaand Canillas de Aceituno to Embalse de la Viñuela. The lake was rather dull,, uncared for, reservoir-like (perhaps it is a reservoir?) with a somewhat tatty and garbage-strewn park on one side with only a herd of goats and us as visitors, and strung out housing and a major road on the other. So we ate our picnic, took a couple of photos, and headed back.

SalaresOn the way, Ralph had noticed Salares, a white village creeping up the steep slopes of the Sierra de Tejeda. We decided to pause there on the return journey. It isn't possible to enter the village at its upper end, but there's a car park at the lower end, and Ralph decided to go on a window and door hunt. He was, in his terms, richly rewarded, and took loads of photos which will be incredibly boring to anyone who doesn't share his obsession!
